Press Releases:
Fire prevention messages are the number one way to educate people on safety concerns. Typically fire prevention messages have been presented around the fire service. Since the fire service is all risk generally prevention can consist of other safety concerns. Occasionally the fire prevention division will post press releases or bulletins to identify safety considerations or list resources for education. Remember fire prevention week occurs every year in October.
The Division provides plan check and inspection services for fire-related code compliance in coordination with the Permit and Resource Management Department, and administers contracts for fire prevention, code enforcement and plan review for local fire districts.
For residents in the Volunteer Fire Department Jurisdiction, must apply to the appropriate air quality district for a burn permit.
Residents who reside in a Fire District Jurisdiction must call the local Fire District to verify if a local burn permit is required.
