Permits and Inspection Services
 One
of the major activities of the division is to enforce the Uniform
Fire Code and other fire-related codes and ordinances. Responsibilities
include reviewing building construction plans, inspections of
new construction for code compliance, conducting fire safety inspections
for commercial occupancies, special events and licensed care facilities,
and vegetation management plans and inspections.
The division is staffed by three full-time and 4 part-time fire
inspectors. A Fire Services Customer Service staff person is available
for walk-in questions and consultations between 8-4 Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday, and between 10-4 on Wednesday at the Permit
and Resource Management Department located at 2550 Ventura Avenue
in Santa Rosa. You can also reach Fire Services Customer Service
