Redwood Empire Dispatch Communications Authority (REDCOM)

On January 27, 2003, a new 9-1-1 emergency dispatch system for law, fire and EMS was launched. It is fully integrated with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and links all but a few police and fire departments within the County, as well as all fire and medical first responders. This system ensures that the closest appropriate resource will respond in the minimal amount of time.
