OMBUDSPERSON
The mission of the Sonoma County Department of Child Support Services
Ombudsperson Program is:
To assist our customers in complaint resolution
and to heighten public awareness of Child Support services.
The Ombudsperson helps you resolve issues with your child support case,
explains your rights and responsibilities, and tells you the ways you
can get child support services.
Responsibilities:
- To help you with child support issues, to facilitate response to
your inquiry.
- To assist you in understanding the complaint process before, during,
and after the complaint is filed.
- To assist you in preparing for a State Hearing.
If you are a custodial party or a non-custodial parent, and are not satisfied
with the assistance you are receiving from the LCSA in resolving your
child support issues, you can file a complaint. Click on the Complaint
Resolution Process or contact the Ombudsperson at 707-565-4242, for
more information.
