Do I need to tell the child support services agency the date I withheld the payment?

Yes. The withholding date is also known as the legal date of collection (LDOC). This is the date your employee was paid, i.e. the pay date. The pay date is vital to the child support services agency for accurate accounting and must be included on the check or check stub. The pay date is required so the agency can properly distribute payments.
