CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL EDMUND G. BROWN JR. TO SPEAK AT VICTIMS’ RIGHTS LUNCHEON

On Monday, May 4, 2009, Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. will be the keynote speaker at the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Awards Luncheon.  The luncheon will be held at the Santa Rosa Veterans’ Memorial Hall located at 1351 Maple Avenue, in Santa Rosa, California from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.  The luncheon is held in honor of crime victims and is part of a series of events scheduled by District Attorney Stephan Passalacqua in recognition of 2009 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Concerning the luncheon District Attorney Passalacqua said:  “We are pleased that Attorney General Brown has agreed to come to Sonoma County to speak on the subject of crime victims’ rights.  His involvement at this event underscores the need for our community to increase its support for crime victims and their families.”

Ms. Harriet Salarno, Founder of Crime Victims United, will be honored at the event.
