CHARGES FILED IN KIDNAP ASSAULT CASE
Sonoma County District Attorney Stephan Passalacqua announced today that Aristotle Quadra was arraigned at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on a nine count Felony Complaint. Judge Dana Simonds presided over the proceedings. Attorney Steve Spiegelman represented Defendant Quadra. The case was continued to February 19 in Department 14 for entry of plea and further discussion of his custodial status which is currently no bail.
The facts allege the victim was accosted by the defendant in the parking lot of a Safeway Grocery store as she was placing her child in her vehicle. The victim was forced to drive to a separate location where she was sexually assaulted. After the sexual assault the defendant stabbed the victim numerous times before fleeing the location. The victim was able to walk with her child to a nearby location where paramedics were summoned.
The nine charges include violations of Penal Code Sections 664/187 (Attempted Murder); 209 (Kidnapping with intent to commit rape); 261 (Rape); 207 (Kidnap of a child under 14); 245 (Assault with a deadly weapon); 422 (Criminal Threats); 236 (False imprisonment); 211 (Robbery) and 273a(a) (Child Endangerment).
