DA SIGNS ON NEW PROSECUTORS

District Attorney Stephan Passalacqua announced the recent hiring of one senior prosecutor and two new prosecutors.

Deputy District Attorney Traci Carrillo has been a Deputy District Attorney in Riverside County for the past 7 years, where she was most recently assigned to the Homicide Team. She has extensive experience handling complex felony cases, and notably served as Trial Team Leader for the Family Violence Unit. Deputy District Attorney Traci Carrillo received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento in English and her law degree from McGeorge School of Law. Ms. Carrillo was recognized as the Riverside County Felony Prosecutor of the Year in 2004, Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year in 2001, and she received the Chamber of Commerce Award for Significant Cases Worked in 2005. Ms. Carrillo was assigned to the Felony Trial Team on joining our office January 2, 2008.

Deputy District Attorney Holly Holcomb recently joined our office after a two year stint in the Solano County Public Defender’s Office. She is assigned to the Misdemeanor Trial Team. Ms. Holcomb graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She received her law degree from McGeorge School of Law.

Finally, Deputy District Attorney Robert Maddock received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Pacific in English and Japanese, his Masters degree from the University of the Pacific, and his law degree from McGeorge School of Law. At McGeorge, Deputy District Attorney Maddock was a research editor for the Journal of National Security Law & Policy and won honors in its Appellate Advocacy Oral Argument Competition. Before obtaining his law degree, Mr. Maddock served as a law clerk in our office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California, McGeorge School of Law and Paralyzed Veterans of America in the District of Columbia. Deputy District Attorney Maddock is assigned to the Misdemeanor Trial Team.
