CHARGES FILED IN ROTTWEILER CASE
Sonoma County District Attorney announced today that charges were filed against Kieran Burns involving four felony violations of 399(b) of the Penal Code, allowing vicious animal at large, causing serious bodily injury. These charges carry a maximum of five years imprisonment.
This case involves the attack of a father and his 7 year old son in Petaluma on April 29, 2007 by the defendant’s two Rottweiler dogs. Both the father and son received serious injuries.
A warrant was issued on May 25, 2007 in the amount of $20,000. The defendant turned himself into the jail through his attorney on May 29, 2007 and bailed out to appear in court on June 20, 2007 in department 4 at 8:30 a.m.
