SANTA ROSA NATIVE, ESTHER LEMUS, JOINS DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE

District Attorney Stephan Passalacqua announced today that Esther O. Lemus, who grew up in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa, has joined his staff as a prosecutor. District Attorney Passalacqua said, "We are very proud to hire a person of her caliber, with her experience and extensive ties to the community."

Ms. Lemus received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Alan Jaroslovsky, United States Bankruptcy Judge. After working in the civil litigation field for a law firm in Los Angeles, Ms. Lemus served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the San Francisco and San Diego offices.

Ms. Lemus and her family have now returned to Sonoma County to join her extended family. She is looking forward to reestablishing local connections and recommitting to the local community through her public service as a Deputy District Attorney.
