BACKGROUND:
Paul Kelley was born and raised in Sonoma County. He grew up just west of Santa Rosa, on Olivet Road. He attended local schools, graduating from Piner High and Santa Rosa Junior College. Paul attended San Francisco State University, graduating with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in History.

Paul began his career as an operations manager in a small chemical company. He spent a year working for Robert Young Vineyards (Alexander Valley) in the office as well as in the vineyard. Utilizing his degree in Computer Science, he became a computer programmer and systems installer for several software firms. He worked with Standard Structures, bringing a new computer system online. After Standard Structures, Paul worked for KLH Consulting, a small computer company based in Santa Rosa. He then worked as a private school teacher, teaching Junior High for the first year, then 5th and 6th graders. He taught Math and History and coached the basketball team. Paul has been active in his community. He was the Charter Secretary for the Windsor Kiwanis Club, playing a major role in its formation. Paul was involved in the incorporation of the Town of Windsor and was a member of a community committee.

Paul stays involved in the community as a member of the Windsor Kiwanis Club and has office hours in each city he represents. DISTRICT INFORMATION:
The 4th district includes Northwest Santa Rosa, Fulton and encompasses all of the Larkfield-Wikiup area. It then runs north including all of the Town of Windsor, the City of Healdsburg, the community of Geyserville and the City of Cloverdale. The district also includes the premium wine grape growing regions of Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, and Dry Creek Valley. The Geysers, Lake Sonoma, and much of the Russian River also reside in the 4th district.

RESPONSIBILITY:
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Sonoma is charged with the responsibility of establishing policy to guide the various functions of the County and, where necessary, to establish procedures by which functions are performed. Supervisor Kelley’s assigned Functional Group of County departments for the year 2008 is Development Services. Supervisor Kelley is the assigned member for the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA), North Coast Rail Authority (NCRA), Russian River Watershed Association (RRWA), Redwood Empire Association Board of Directors (REA), Eel-Russian River Commission, North Coast Air Pollution Control District, Public Policy Facilitating Committee (PPFC), Sonoma County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee, and board liaison to the Water Advisory Committee (WAC). He is Vice-President of the North Coastal Counties Supervisors Association (NCCSA) and Chairman of Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).
