Plumbers Workshops
Workshops were held in Santa Rosa and Petaluma for plumbers on March 19 and March 24, 2009 respectively for those who may be interested in expanding their businesses into the green sector, and taking advantage of new funding opportunities that reduce energy and water usage for their customers. These included high-efficiency toilets (HET); tankless water heaters; water conservation programs/ rebates, and more.

BEA 8th Annual Business Leaders’ Breakfast
The BEA hosted more than 350 local business people at its Eighth Annual Business Breakfast on February 27, 2009. Randy Poole from the Sonoma County Water Agency, Randy DeCaminada from PG&E, and Mollie Mangerich from Sonoma County Waste Management Agency provided forecasts of the supply and cost of water, energy, and waste resources for businesses in the upcoming year.

A highlight of this year's program was the "Clean" Technology panel, featuring local executives from "clean" tech companies, who gave an update on the emerging "Green/Clean" Technology movement.

The BEA was also lucky to have Carl Guardino, President & CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, to talk about the successes businesses achieve when implementing environmental best practices.

This year the BEA honored 16 local businesses that have improved their bottom lines through sound environmental practices. Read more for additional information about the BEA Breakfast.
