Free Water-Usage Assessments

By participating in the Business Water Project, your business will receive a free water-usage assessment conducted by a qualified independent contractor. This assessment will focus on ways you can increase your profit margin by lowering water and wastewater costs. Program outcomes have included recommendations to resolve wasteful irrigation sprinklers, develop strategic water usage techniques, and substitute more water efficient fixtures to name a few.

Voluntary Action Plan

Following your free water-usage assessment, you will be provided a specific and voluntary plan for the reduction of water use, wastewater quantity, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, and Total Suspended Solids. You will be introduced to local and state rebate programs that your business may capitalize on. As the assessment will show, the suggestions in the plan will save your business money; however, there is no obligation for your business to comply with this plan..

Post-Audit Assistance

The free water-usage assessment and voluntary action plan serve little purpose if they don't lead you to evaluate your current water consumption practices. The BEA will assist you in implementing any parts of the action plan that appeal to you. We can provide you with additional information and references to qualified contractors.

Public Awareness Campaign

The Business Water Project is committed to creating a significant public awareness campaign, offering information about the program and highlighting businesses that have participated. The BEA is also committed to providing your business any local, regional or federal information, consider us your Informational Clearinghouse!
