Vineyard Erosion & Sediment Control (VESCO)

This department administers the Sonoma County Vineyard Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance passed by the Board of Supervisors in June 1999. Growers planting new vineyards or replanting existing vineyards are required to utilize recognized conservation practices, best management practices and provide for riparian setback to protect the environment and watersheds of the county.
