Funding Available for Farmers Combating EGVM!Applications will be accepted through April 22, 2011. NRCS is providing funding through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Eligible farmers may receive approximately half of the costs of the recommended IPM strategies used to control European Grapevine Moth. Our EGVM Website Has Been Restructured and Updated!Our website has been changed to make information on EGVM easier to find! We have also updated the information to reflect some of the changes for 2011. You can visit our new EGVM website. This year, the EGVM program calls for growers to treat grapevines within 500 meters of an EGVM find, either 2010 or 2011. Maps of the 500 meter areas surrounding 2010 EGVM finds are available on the Agricultural Commissioner’s website. Grower LiaisonSonoma County's Grower Liaison, Shelly Mochizuki, will be contacting vineyard owner/operators within 500 meters of EGVM finds to provide information on life stages, effective treatment method/materials, and the appropriate timing of treatments.
