European Grapevine Moth (EGVM)NurseriesEuropean Grapevine Moth Quarantine ~ 2011 ProgramThe Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office is committed to working with the agricultural community to eradicate European Grapevine Moth (EGVM) (General Information) and put an end to the quarantine in Sonoma County. Sonoma County personnel will continue to survey for the presence of European Grapevine Moth by placing and servicing approximately 7000 traps from February through October of this year. County staff will also be conducting inspections during the harvest to ensure that quarantine regulations are being implemented and followed to stop the spread of EGVM. Compliance agreements are required in order to move grapes, nursery stock or green waste of host material (Host List), and equipment used in the growing, harvesting, hauling and processing of host material within or from, the EGVM quarantine area (Maps – EGVM Quarantine). See Compliance Agreements for details. Compliance agreements are valid for the life of the quarantine.
