Group of Volunteers in the Park
Each year over 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and expertise to benefit Sonoma County Parks. In 2010, this totaled over 38,400 hours, equal to 18 full-time employees. Volunteers accomplished amazing things over the past years. They built new trails, led interpretative hikes, maintained campgrounds, patroled park trails, built fences and much more. Groups of volunteers from the Boy Scouts, local businesses, and schools also spent thousands of hours maintaining our parks.
We invite you to discover Sonoma County Parks through our Volunteer Program. We strive to match your skills and interests to a volunteer position that helps us to:
- Enhance the quality of life in Sonoma County
- Provide recreational, social and cultural opportunities to the public
- Preserve, conserve and restore our natural, scenic and historical resources
We appreciate your interest in Sonoma County Parks and look forward to finding a volunteer opportunity for you.
