Park |
The Sonoma County Regional Parks
Department presents a fun and informative bird walk on Saturday, May 17th at Spring
Lake Park in Santa Rosa led by Wade Belew. Wade is a naturalist and
avid birder, and has installed bird-nesting boxes in Spring Lake Park, the Laguna
de Santa Rosa, and on numerous private properties throughout Sonoma County. Stops
will be made during the walk to observe several bird nesting boxes and their inhabitants.
Participants should arrive at the Environmental
Discovery Center, located just inside the Violetti Road entrance
to Spring Lake Park, at 10am. This 2-hour walk will cover several
miles. Pre-registration is appreciated. Participants should wear
sturdy shoes and bring drinking water and binoculars. For more information
