DISTRICT ATTORNEY HIRES VETERAN PROSECUTORS

Sonoma County District Attorney Stephan Passalacqua announced today the hiring of two veteran prosecutors, Carla Rodriguez and Daniel Carr.

Carla Rodriguez earned her bachelor of arts degree from St. Mary’s College and her law degree from Santa Clara University. She was a prosecutor in the sexual assault unit of the San Mateo District Attorney’s Office and previously was a member of the Sonoma County District Attorney’s office from 1997 to 2003.

Daniel Carr earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Arizona and his law degree from McGeorge School of Law. He previously was a prosecutor with the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office from 1989 to 2001 where he was a member of the hi-tech unit and the gang suppression unit throughout his career. He has extensive experience in handling gang homicide cases. In addition, Mr. Carr was in private practice from 2001 to 2005.

"Both individuals have extensive trial experience and a depth of knowledge that will be greatly utilized, especially in the areas of sexual assault, gang related activity and other violent crimes," said District Attorney Passalacqua. "I am pleased to have two very talented prosecutors join our organization," said Passalacqua.
