About Us
The County Clerk's Office performs a variety of functions, including issuing marriage licenses, filing fictitious business name statements, processing notary bonds, handling environmental documents, filing conflict of interest reports, and performing civil marriage ceremonies. We also include administrative and support functions for the department. As part of the county-wide reorganization, the Public Administrator/Public Guardian functions of the District Attorney's Office and the Public Conservator function of Health Services - Mental Health were transferred to County Clerk effective January 1995. They have now been consolidated into one section within the County Clerk's Division budget.
