The Springs RAC Election Information

2009 RAC Election Information

There are two seats up for election by ballot and one seat up for appointment by Supervisor Brown’s office. The two seats up for election are:

Business Owner, currently held by Richard Lee.
Representative of a Community Organization, currently held by Steve Cox.

A Public Information Meeting will be held on November 5, 2009 6:15 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Sonoma. This meeting will include: information on the responsibilities of the Springs Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC), the opportunity to serve on the RAC, and the RAC election process. If you are interested in serving on the RAC please attend this meeting or download the Candidate Declaration Form below and return it the Sonoma County Community Development Commission no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 25, 2009.

The RAC election will take place at the Boys and Girls Club in Sonoma on December 3, 2009 at 6:15 p.m.  Candidates will be given the opportunity, but shall not be required, to make a statement.  Once all candidates have been given the opportunity to speak balloting will begin and will last until 8:00 p.m. at which time all ballots will be counted.  The candidates-elect will be announced following the RAC meeting.

If you would like to vote in this election, please fill out the Voter Qualification Form below and return it to the Sonoma County Community Development Commission by 5:00 p.m. on December 2, 2009 or bring it to the Boys and Girls Club in Sonoma between 6:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on December 3, 2009.

These forms are provided in two ways; as a PDF form that you can fill out on line and print (you cannot save the form with the data in it) and as a Word form that you can save to your local disc drive and then fill in and print.
