APPLY FOR THE HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAMThis website contains links to the application for the Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) sponsored Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program, along with Frequently Asked Questions about the program, a copy of the program design The Commission offers below-market rate interest loans for the rehabilitation of existing residential properties. Loans are available to eligible Owner Occupant households and to Investor Owners, with a $50,000 maximum loan available on single-family dwellings, $24,000 maximum loan available on mobile homes, and $25,000 maximum loan per unit available on multi-family rental properties. The current interest rate is 3%. The loan term is 20 years. Monthly payments may be deferred for eligible Owner Occupant applicants (those whose monthly housing expenses exceed 30% of household income). Eligibility for a deferred payment loan is determined after the completed application and all necessary verification information has been received. Other conditions and restrictions may apply.
