Search Property Information

Property Values

The Sonoma County Assessor's Office is pleased to provide this online tool for searching the Assessment Roll, property values, Value Change Notices and Prop 8 Notices.

The Assessment Roll is a public document that lists property values and location information for all taxable real estate, business property and personal property in the county. Information displayed here is current as of the most recently published Assessment Roll and parcel maps are updated monthly.

If you have a disability and the format of any material on our website interferes with your ability to access information on this site and you need accessibility assistance, please visit our Accessibility Information page for information on how to request help.

Searching the Assessment Roll, Assessed Value Change Notices and Prop 8 Notices:

Since August 2011, all Assessed Value Change Notices and Prop 8 Notices have been available primarily through this website.

There will not be a notice generated for every property. If your property changed owners or had new construction in 2012, or if the assessed value was adjusted due to a Prop 8 review, then your search should return a notice.

As a cost savings measure, the Assessed Value Change Notices and Prop 8 Notices will no longer be mailed through the U.S. Postal Services unless specifically requested.

To search current assessed property value, and to view and/or print a notice please:

  1. Read and agree to the disclaimer below then click “Continue”.
  2. Enter your parcel number or street address.
  3. Click on the underlined parcel number to view the current assessed value for that property.
  4. If you believe your property is eligible for a notice, you may click on the “View/Print Value Notice” link located near the top of the property information page.
  5. If no notice is found at that time, then your property was not eligible for a notice this year.

THE INFORMATION YOU SEARCH ON THIS SITE IS PROPRIETARY INFORMATION

  9. The current assessed value (the value your property tax bill will be based on), is on the Property Information page illustrated above. Notices reflect the same assessed value and provide additional information regarding the event that changed the value. No Results?

If your search doesn't result in any results, you may want to broaden your search criteria. For example, if you searched an address you know to be current and got no results, try leaving off the street type designation (e.g. Street, Avenue, Road). You can also broaden searches by selecting “Contains” instead of “Begins with” from the “Search Type” drop-down menu in the second column. Keep in mind that the amount of time it takes to return a results list will increase with broader searches.

Please note: Not all properties will receive a notice!

A Notice search with no results indicates that the property you looked up didn't qualify for a notice this year and the current assessed value is the one that shows in the basic property search.
