Parcel Maps
The Assessor maintains nearly 7,000 maps that illustrate over 180,000 parcels of property in Sonoma County. Mapbooks containing copies of these maps are available for you to view in our Santa Rosa office and 11" x 17" and also 8-1/2" x 11" photocopies are available for purchase at $2.00 each. You can also purchase a CD-ROM containing images of all of our maps for $250.00; monthly updates to it are $35.00 each. You can receive the CD containing all map images and subscribe to a full year of monthly updates for $600.00. Property Information
Assessment roll and property characteristic information is available about many parcels in Sonoma County.
Roll Data
You can obtain roll data in our office or over the phone. Roll data includes basic assessment roll and ownership information about a property. For additional information about the roll data available and how to get it, please click here.
Property Profile
A Property Profile is a print-out of a computer screen that lists a variety of land, residential, value, agricultural, and commercial data for a single parcel. You may request information for up to 10 parcels at a time. For additional information about the data on a Property Profile, please click here.
Tax Bill Info
You can obtain copies of a computer screen that details tax bill information for any parcel in Sonoma County at a charge of $1.00 per parcel. You can obtain a copy of your own tax bill information screen at no charge.
Building Record Documents
Sonoma County property owners or their authorized representatives can view and obtain copies of documents we maintain that pertain to the assessment of their real or personal property. To gain access to or copies of these documents you (or an authorized representative) must present identification to our counter staff. Anyone representing you and requesting access to these documents must also present a completed authorization form bearing your original signature(no faxes or copies are accepted). Aerial Photos
A flight of Sonoma County was completed in 2000 and the resulting black and white aerial photographs from this flight are available for viewing and for sale in our Santa Rosa office. City and County Parcel Mapbook Boundary Maps
We maintain maps of the nine incorporated cities in Sonoma County showing the boundaries of our parcel map books in their vicinities. We also have maps showing the boundaries of our parcel map books in the entire county. Framed editions of the maps are hanging in the public counter area of our Santa Rosa main office and copies are available for purchase. Use Code Index
Each of the over 180,000 parcels in Sonoma County functions for its owner in a way that the Assessor calls its predominant use. The predominant use assigned to each property is a significant factor in how its taxable value is determined. The Assessor assigns a use code to every parcel that identifies its predominant use. Please note that our use codes are for assessment purposes only and we take no responsibilty for any other interpretation of them.
